In 1957 Mr. Joaquin Barragán brought to life one of the first Hass avocado orchards in Mexico.Thanks to mild weather and volcanic soil, the fruit reached its highest quality and best flavor. As a result, Mr. Joaquin’s crops and the rest of the avocado producers coined the beautiful Uruapan region as “The cradle and the Avocado capital of the world”
